Continuing the legacy of the past twenty-four years, Electrical Engineering Society of University of Moratuwa has contributed to the nation in resolving key issues and concerns in the field of electrical engineering through the annual Round Table Conference. Advancing with technology to the present and future concerns, EESoc organized the 18th Round Table Conference on the topic of “Renewable Integrated Secure Power System for Sri Lanka: Challenges and Solutions” on 12th October 2018 at the BMICH.
The guest of honor was Prof. John Fletcher, Head of Power and Energy, University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. There were about 250 participants representing Ministry of Power and Renewable Energy, CEB, LECO, PUCSL, Sustainable Energy Authority, reputed companies in the sector, other universities, academic staff, graduates and undergraduates.
The discussion was mainly focused on renewable energy integration to Power System of Sri Lanka, along with the challenges to overcome, possible solutions and other key constituents. The panel was consisted with ingenious set of professionals.
