Empowering Future Innovators – Tharindie Pilapitiya Represents Sri Lanka at Huawei Seeds for the Future 2025!

Electrical Engineering Society, University of Moratuwa, is proud to announce that Tharindie Pilapitiya, an undergraduate from the 21 batch of the department, represented Sri Lanka at the prestigious Huawei Seeds for the Future 2025 program held in China. This global training initiative provided participants with valuable exposure to emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud Computing, 5G, and Smart Energy Systems. Tharindie had the opportunity to explore Huawei’s Campus in Dongguan, Headquarters in Shenzhen, and the Darwin Exhibition Hall, gaining first-hand experience of world-class innovation. The program also included visits to Smart PV sites, EV technology hubs, and Smart Data Centers, highlighting how advanced technologies are driving sustainability and digital transformation. Beyond the technical learning, Tharindie actively engaged in cross-cultural collaboration, working with international peers and learning from renowned industry experts through interactive sessions and discussions. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Huawei for facilitating this remarkable opportunity.
