
Team GTricks, comprising students from the 23 Batch of the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Moratuwa, emerged as First Runners-Up at the SLIoT Challenge 2026 with their project PathFinder.Developed under the theme “AIoT for a Sustainable Future,” PathFinder is an industrial-grade AIoT safety network designed for remote environments without access to conventional communication infrastructure. The system utilizes autonomous smart posts to create a self-sustaining offline mesh network capable of emergency communication, environmental monitoring, and wildlife threat detection without relying on cellular or internet connectivity.The project team consists of S.V.C. Hansaja Vithanage, Senuja Dilmith Geeganage, T.A.S. Dulsika Mendis, M.K. Madhuka Gihan Chinthaka, and B.A. Vindya Nilushika.
