Lecture Series on Building Generative AI Applications

The Electrical Engineering Society of the University of Moratuwa recently had the wonderful opportunity to host a physical session with Professor Jason Mars, a world-renowned leader in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and an Honorary Associate Professor of the Department of Electrical Engineering as a part of his lecture series on generative AI. The session was filled with energy and inspiration, reflecting the strong connection between Prof. Mars and the department. During the session, Prof. Mars and Dr. Logeeshan Velmanickam, Senior Lecturer of the Department and the main contact for this partnership, held a boardroom discussion about the ongoing JASECI projects carried out by student teams. These projects highlighted the creativity and technical talent of undergraduates working on AI-driven solutions to real-world problems.The session concluded by handing over a token of appreciation to Prof. Jason Mars. It was a heartfelt moment that celebrated his valuable contributions and the inspiration he continues to bring to our community.EESoc takes great pride in being part of this journey, which continues to empower future engineers.
